Twindow

Privacy Policy

Effective August 20, 2026

The short version: Twindow has no account system, no telemetry, and no tracking. It runs entirely on your Mac. Everything your cloned apps create stays on your device — Twindow never sees it or sends it anywhere.

What Twindow is

Twindow is a native app that creates isolated copies of apps already installed on your computer, each with its own private data. It works locally and offline.

What we collect

Nothing. Twindow contains no analytics, no telemetry, and no account system. It does not transmit your files, your usage, or the contents of your cloned apps to us or to anyone else.

Data stored on your device

Twindow keeps each clone’s settings and its isolated data folders on your Mac, under your control. You can inspect or delete them at any time. This data never leaves your device through Twindow.

Software updates

If automatic updates are enabled, the app periodically checks an update feed over the network. Like any file download, this may expose your IP address and the app version to the update host. No personal data is sent.

This website

This site is a static page hosted on Vercel. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no analytics. Your light/dark theme choice is stored only in your own browser and is never sent to us. As the host, Vercel may process basic request information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operation, under its own privacy policy.

Third-party apps you clone

The apps you run through Twindow (for example Slack, Chrome, WhatsApp, VS Code, or Claude) collect and handle data under their own privacy policies. Twindow does not change how they behave and is not responsible for their practices.

Children

Twindow is a general-purpose developer tool and is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the effective date above.
